Carnival Most Visited Cruise Site

The website for Carnival Cruises is the most visited cruise site on the internet, it has been revealed.

Furthermore, according to research from web-traffic tracker Hitwise, Carnival Cruises placed eighth in the overall category for travel, destinations and accommodations.

Last year, Carnival Cruises upgraded its website, adding features such as an interactive destination map and guest video testimonials.

"The internet is an indispensable research and education tool and Carnival is constantly incorporating new features and updating our site to provide users with a comprehensive overview of the fun ship vacation experience," commented Bob Dickinson, Carnival Cruises president and chief executive.

Also, the cruise line claims to be the first to have launched a cruise supplier social networking community and group planning website, CarnivalConnections.com.

Carnival Cruises currently operates 21 ships and is preparing to debut a further four between March 2007 and June 2011; the Carnival Freedom, Carnival Splendor, Carnival Dream and Carnival Magic.
