P&O Cruises Targets Families And First Time Cruisers
Friday, April 11th, 2008
P&O Cruises is preparing to launch its 2009 cruise schedule, which it claims offers many exciting options for families and those new to cruising.
According to TravelMole, P&O Cruises managing director Nigel Esdale stated that cruise holidays are becoming an "increasingly popular" choice for younger couples as well as families and that the Ventura and Oceana were perfect cruise ships to accommodate the needs of this demographic.
In a bid to appeal to these groups, P&O Cruises is set to offer twice as many short "taster" cruises in 2009.
"Shorter cruises on Ventura and Oceana are the perfect choice for people who are new to cruising and want to see if it’s for them without being away for two weeks," Mr Esdale noted.
Additionally, an around Britain cruise holiday will be available with P&O Cruises next year.
Artemis will sail on an 11-night voyage calling in at ports including Leith, Invergordon, the Orkney Islands, Moville, Greenock, Dublin, Falmouth and St Peter Port in Guernsey.
