Queen Mary 2 Is Best Luxury Cruise Ship

A Readers Choice Awards has named Queen Mary 2 the Best Luxury Cruise Ship in the industry.
The awards, organised by Travel Weekly magazine, were announced at a gala at New York City’s Pierre Hotel on December 13th 2007.
Queen Mary 2 boasts a variety of suites and staterooms and is a popular cruise ship for those who enjoy fine dining and "sophisticated" adventure.
"We are honoured to receive this influential award. We strive to deliver the cruise industry’s premier travel experience and this award is recognition that when it comes to luxury, Cunard - and specifically Queen Mary 2 - exemplifies the pinnacle of ocean voyaging," commented Carol Marlow, president of Cunard Cruises.
This month has also seen Princess Cruises named in the World Travel Awards for having the best website in the industry.
Princess Cruises’ Jan Swartz reported that she was "extremely gratified" that the cruise line’s efforts had been recognised.
