Star Treatment For Princess Cruises Ships
Friday, May 2nd, 2008
Princess Cruises is to remodel two of its fleet, Star Princess and Caribbean Princess, taking inspiration from recent upgrades carried out on Crown Princess and Emerald Princess.
Among the popular facilities to be added to the cruise liners are atrium piazzas, spa facilities and a number of eateries.
International Cafe, the Crown Grill steak and seafood restaurant, and the adults-only Sanctuary will be among these new amenities.
"After Crown Princess and Emerald Princess debuted, we knew we had struck a chord with our passengers who loved the piazza-style atriums, new dining experiences and the peaceful environment of The Sanctuary," commented Princess Cruises senior vice-president Jan Swartz.
She added that the cruise line was "delighted" to expand these services to new cruise ships in the Princess Cruises fleet.
International Cafe will serve freshly baked croissants, Danish pastries, paninis, quiches and salads, as well as tapas.
Crown Grill, meanwhile, will offer premium seafood and steamed shellfish including lobster, scallops, clams and mussels, in addition to steaks and chops.
